A broken education system is one of the worst forms of elitism.

Without a living wage, teachers are leaving to be bartenders and delivery drivers. This means the public education system is left with a lack of good teachers. Without good public education, only the rich can afford to send their kids to private school with better teachers. That'll boost their academic ability and allow them to get an even more unfair advantage when they grow up.

This is pretty cool, although I would have loved if it were pictures of John Oliver with horns photoshopped on him...

Just today? How did you hurt it?

[–] dystop 2 points 2 years ago

I think my 20's. Old enough to do most things, have some earning power so i can actually afford things, and - most importantly - my body hasn't started to break down yet. I'm reaching my mid 30s and I swear every year one new thing goes wonky in this body.

I actually can't access that - I've tried https://kbin.social/m/dundermifflin and https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected] . Do you have a link?

[–] dystop 2 points 2 years ago

If you read about anything interesting, you can share the link (even on mobile)!

Yes, but if you don't know what people would find interesting, neither would the first few subscribers. It's better to have at least some stuff there (even if it's all posted by you).

Awesome! and thank you for caring enough to do this.

The good thing about lemmy is that (at least for now) nothing falls into an empty void, someone will eventually see it :)

there is also [email protected] I believe. I personally prefer that to antiwork (which suggests getting rid of work entirely).
