For years I have been buying new games for (almost) exclusively $30 or less. And I find that I never enjoy the giant sprawling games that merit a $60 price tag nearly as much.

What kinda board games do you play solo?

This makes a lot of sense, thanks for the advice! I knew I was down a rabbit hole, and this is just the direction I needed

it's okay to admit both are true lmao. we can have developing fascism in america AND china can be a dictatorship. They're not mutually exclusive

Not terribly surprising, considering who runs it and why… “Faiz Shakir is an American Democratic political advisor. He serves as senior advisor to Bernie Sanders and executive director of the nonprofit media organization More Perfect Union.”

“In November 2021, More Perfect Union launched an explainer series called "The Class Room". It is "aimed at providing a left-wing answer to PragerU, a YouTube titan of right-wing ideology," the New York Times reported.”

It’s pretty easy to pick up on the PragerU vibes, so while I agree with most of what they say on that channel, I tend to take it with a grain of salt.

That said, do you think socialism is bad? I’m not so sure it is, but I’d be down to hear your thoughts 🙂

The way it works is that there’s not one lemmy site, there’s many different sites, or “instances” that people can host on their own servers—lemmy.world and lemm.ee are two of these. The catch is that they are “federated”, meaning that a user in one instance can see, vote on, comment on, etc posts from another instance. That’s why you can be on lemmy.world and see posts from [email protected]. So if lemmy.world goes down it’s as simply as typing in another instance to your address bar :^)
