There are certainly advertisers, excuse me, corporate donors contributing. They get their blurbs and ads read at a pretty regular basis, at least between programs. Bur yes, I would hope that the large % of listener donations would keep NPR/PBS the way they are.

Did you read the article and everything the author listed out that happened additionally over the past 4 years? The changes to vote by mail alone were drastic.

The first part, fine. Everyone should be involved with 2026 primaries to help change the Democratic party. Between now and then is our chance. But if the past week alone doesn't convince you that the GOP and Trump must have checks to their agenda ASAP regardless of how much progress is made till the mid-term, I don't know what to tell you.

Why are we talking about Dreamers again now, when they weren't talked about for the whole 4 fucking years of the Biden Administration? The June Executive Action was fine, but it will now obviously go nowhere, if not be rolled back. Tired of these people being used as a pawn piece. Legislation should have been pushed in '21 and finally taken care of them.

Hmmm...I seem to remember the Republicans in Congress actually having a spine with Nixon. Though I do agree things weren't roses back then. The cost of living was easier, but we paid for a lot of things we don't now. $12 for one CD vs $10 a month for Spotify. But I would say the late 90s/ pre 9/11 was pretty nice for the US. Not the case for the rest of the world admittedly. But we definitely have nothing on how bad the 20s, 30s and 40s were.

I am sure this will be a nuanced and well written bill, only attacking MtF girls and women. I am sure that it won't affect intersex people that might be facing similar challenges through no "fault" of their own. In addition, I am sure it will have a provision to protect Title IX and keep women's sports healthy in our public schools since they care about it so much. /s Fucking idiots with no idea.

At least in the US, when I go to the vape store, I buy juice that is highly diluted. Unless you are a DIYer (very small % of the market), you aren't mixing the nicotine yourself... nicotine is addictive as fuck, but it's not very dangerous by itself. It's all the other shit you take in when you inhale that will kill you.

The funny thing is I probably couldn't get through all of Arcane because I had played 10 years before and still bitter about the toxic experience.
