RE2 remake and RE7 are both phenomenal and they go on sale frequently. You can’t go wrong.

Potato masher is my greatest enemy.
Buy a bottle of Formula 420 from your local head shop. My girlfriend showed it to me recently and I was absolutely amazed how fast and clean it gets your glass.
I am very happy to see RE up there. Can’t wait until we get another mainline game!
I’m grabbing Cult of the Lamb, and maybe Ori and Dead Space Remake. I’m tempted to grab Persona 5 Royal, but I don’t know if I’ll have time for it until around the New Year, and by then we’ll have had the Fall and Winter sales. There are just way too many games I’m more excited about coming out in the next few months. I just a need a game or two to get me through July.
Shoutout to Memmy. The updates are coming at a furious pace.
Yeah the motion blur is way overdone, especially in graphics mode which is how I’m playing it. Typically I go for frame rate modes in games, and turn down/off motion blur whenever possible. Unfortunately graphics mode is the better choice in this game right now since performance mode is very inconsistent and often renders things at a very low resolution which affects all of the game’s many in-engine cutscenes.
I would say it’s definitely worth picking up as part of a bundle. If you don’t already have a PS5 there is just so much amazing stuff to play. As for FF16, there is some great stuff here and the game is quite lengthy. As for me, I like it but I wish I hadn’t paid full price. Also, the game has a pretty varied color pallet depending on your location. So no need to worry there.
This year has so many bangers already and tons more to come. Top of my list is Starfield, but I’m also pumped about Armored Core 6, BG3, Spider-Man 2, and Phantom Liberty.
I just started Palm Sunday by Kurt Vonnegut. It’s pretty amazing that the first chapter is about communities that were banning and burning his books in public schools. I really wish we could say we’ve come further in the last 50ish years.
Not defending Sony, but Microsoft has a lot advantages of their own. MS is already a massive company. So big that they make Sony look small by comparison. They also own and operate a state-of-the-art cloud platform in Azure. That’s not something Sony can compete with.
You also have to credit Sony for making the most of their first party studios and franchises. This is something Microsoft has really failed to do well over the last couple of generations, and probably contributes more to their number 3 position than anything else.
It’s cool to see the handheld PC market taking off, but MS needs to offer a purpose-built version of Windows for these devices. Without something more console-like that compete with DeckOS these devices are doomed to have a disjointed and janky experience.
