With free esxi over, not shocking bit sad, I am now about to move away from a virtualisation platform i’ve used for a quarter of a century.
Never having really tried the alternatives, is there anything that looks and feels like esxi out there?
I don’t have anything exceptional I host, I don’t need production quality for myself but in all seriousness what we run at home end up at work at some point so there’s that aspect too.

The 4K library is on the rise and a whole bunch of ”vanilla” blurays has been moved to less prominent shelving - that other shelf is getting really full too. Not sure my wife would be thrilled with more shelves. 🤷🏼♂️😔

This caught my eye when I casually browsed the record store today. I’m always interested in what ex-Kraftwerk members are doing so I picked it up. Will be firing up my headphone station tonight after dinner to have a listen.
Again, someone dumped their electronic music collection and I was only too happy to pick it up. Every 4th cd is free at this place! I love it!

Agreed. I wish the 4 Ks we keep hearing that Peter Jackson is working on for his early films would materialize too. Sure I have the shitty spanish bootleg blurays but i’d pay good money for the real thing!

The black friday stuff is still coming in. The latest was the Sonny Chiba double-whammy of The Executioner Collection and The Streetfighter Trilogy from Arrow UK. No customs fees either! ❤️ I hope my Mondo Macabro order will land this side of the new year with the Bollywood horror box set and a spanish ’giallo’ Shadow of death. I suspect my Vinegar Syndrome and Severin hauls will land next year.

Sega Saturn or PlayStation 2. I’m mainly a STG/shoot’em’up player and those two consoles have a ton of them. If forced to choose between the two, PS2 edges out on top because of Dodonpachi Daioujou which I consider to be perfection.
