My home assistant tracks the power usage of my washing machine (via a Tasmota plug) and notifies me when the power goes under a threshold for a few minutes. Which happens at the end of the washing cycle.
That space between your car and the end of the parking area is lost for everyone as long as you stand there. If you park right at the edge of the valid area, that little space will be between you and the next car and can become a bigger space if cars are shuffled around and someone else might be able to park.
