That's certainly a possibility. The substitution effect, but the numbers I looked at showed that vaping is a lot more prevalent in teens compared to smoking. More teens are vaping now than teens smoked in the past. Plus cigarettes are nasty compared to vapes. I think most teens vape because they think it's cool and it tastes good. You get rid of the flavor and make them smell like tobacco farts I'd imagine you'll see less usage. Easier to catch a kid smoking a cigarette then it is a vape

Wow 6 months seems less like a jam and more like a full time contract job. I like the extended amount of time but it feels like it's too long

I read this in the voice of the GI Joe guy that says "Hey I'm a computer, stop all the downloading"

I'd urge you to actually look at the response. Look at the legacy section of the sandy hook shooting. It actually did change the laws in some places in other places it got worse.

Trump himself once said "take the guns first then figure it out." One of the only cool things he's said.

You'd be surprised what people are willing to let go of when they see children in their community being murdered. Doesn't matter what political spectrum you're on. There are major gun safety advocates who used to be 2a Rambo's who lost children and realized how wrong they were. It's just not worth it.

If multiplication vs division is causing perf issues you fucked up somewhere or shouldn't be asking on Lemmy for help because your performance critical system is of the safety and health type.

I've never had division actually be a real issue.
