Yeah, totally agree. I'd say take some percent of your paycheck and put it towards this.

From what I can tell, it's likely based on the Christian holiday, Christmas, which is probably a religious version of the Winter solstice. So not totally arbitrary.

Looks like it to me. Something weird is going on with the red shirt's waistline and where are his arms? Plus the shadows are too harsh for an overcast sky.

I concur on this one. Open a Roth IRA and put it towards an S&P 500 mutual fund with low fees. I use Schwab because it's free to open an account and deposit money.

I think "are caused by" is too strong of a descriptor. It's more like zoning laws contribute to high housing prices. There are lots of factors that determine the cost of housing and zoning is just part of that.

The article doesn't mention anything like causality. From the article:

Restrictive land use regulations and zoning laws have been linked to higher housing prices, reduced construction activity, and a decrease in the elasticity of housing supply.

I bought a copy of Gender Queer recently because I found out it was getting banned. It's a great book, highly recommended to everyone off all ages.
