oh here was my first paint. on the right is the entry grade rx78 painted compared to a HG rx78. i got sloppy with the panel lining and my waterslides didn’t go on all that well, but i got the paint down exactly how i wanted it and i really liked the gritty primer i chose.

i started airbrushing at the beginning of the year and here were the things i picked up:

CO-Z Adjustable Lighted Airbrush... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S3S79W4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Gocheer Upgraded 30PSI Airbrush... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092D2YB8R?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

the spray booth is awesome. In particular, i like how the vent tube is coming out the top where other models come straight from the back. i was able to set this up in my home office on a small table and not have to dedicate a lot of space for the exhaust. it been very reliable and i use it often for many other projects. the built-in lights are super bright!

i didnt go hard with the airbrush per a friends suggestion. since i was dipping a toe into a new hobby he had suggested a cheaper electric airbrush. after looking around i could see how one could drop some serious cash on the stuff….. Anyway, this electric brush is great and i use it frequently. easy to clean and easy to use.

The only problem I have now is that there isn’t enough free time to paint all my kits! having the brush makes me feel like i need to always paint them.

excluding lacquers, i spent under 200 to start painting. im very happy that i got into it and i certainly see myself investing other tools in the future, but if i was told this is what i could only use forever, id be happy with that.

Since most of the spray booths on Amazon look the same, i’m guessing they’re all coming from the same factory. So i don’t think you can necessarily go wrong with any.

hope this helps (:

9 weeks* in that photo. He’s the third of our family and definitely loves to be the instigator of fun. a rare moment where he is not running around!

your post inspired a project out of me. even though i may still play with a controller , i went down that diy rabbit hole and thought this would be a very interesting way to learn something new. if all goes well maybe i will take the plunge into classic + hitbox!

calligraphy certainly an art. looks great!

my Cyrillic cursive handwriting is marvelous imo, whereas my English… well lets just say it was a miracle any of my instructors understood my writing journals and assignments.

Russian is not my native language, but perhaps learning to write as an adult helped.

have fun learning Russian! writing assignments were my favorite because of cursive.

i’ve been just using my xbox pro controller and i don’t mind using just that. Out of curiosity, did you start on a hitbox? did you switch from a controller? what made you move over to a more specialized controller?

i have been really loving SF6, more than any other version prior, but i haven’t considered using a stick or a hitbox while playing because i dont know if i could capitalize on any benefits it may have.

certainly sounds like a fair explanation! don’t you just love how our brain works?

i had a similar instance. when i was younger ~10 i remember waking up scared by a nightmare around midnight. i decided i’d go to my sisters room because she was likely still up and i didn’t want to wake my parents.

her room was on the second floor so i had to quietly run in the dark and up the stairs as to not disturb my parents.

when i got to the steps i began hearing a crowd of people and with each step up the stairs it got louder and louder. i recall it being one of the loudest things i’ve ever heard. at the landing of the stairs it was so loud i collapsed onto the door handle and swing it open. then just like that the noise stopped and it was silent.

my sister was up watching a movie and looked over curious to why i made such a dramatic entrance. i don’t recall ever saying anything i just curled up on her floor watching a movie until i fell asleep.

i’m in my 30s and i still think about that event at least once a year and it still gets my heart pumping! thankfully it has never happened since.
