I also have concerns about nutrient cycling, every rain and over watering is going to wash nutrients into the street below. This is an interesting idea, but could use more refinement.

I scroll all:scaled fairly often, as my list of subs isn't super active, but there are some communities that come up fairly often that I would rather not see. Is there a way to implement that on the client side or would that require a Lemmy change?

Seems like a great space to rewild to allow pollinators to repopulate.

Amos Burton prefers algae to mushrooms.

The Drilled Podcast recently did a great deep dive on this. https://drilled.media/podcasts/drilled/8/drilleds08-ep01

This whole album is a banger. I love the mostly instrumental second disk.

And somehow only fined $5000, and no jail time.

Why ban, why not just have an accountability partner?

90+% of this article is good, valuable, and interesting. I too ride on 3-4 lane roads and have dealt with aggressive drivers, it's nice to be seen.

However this bit chafes:

The dismissive ‘male glance’ is real, on the bike as in all of life. I can distinctly recall men realizing another cyclist (me, almost 50) is behind them, at a red light or whatever, and looking back, only to discover a woman who is older than he is, on a not-interesting-to-him bike, with no interesting blingy gear on it, and have him turn away, barely able to acknowledge I was there at all. What was he expecting to see? A sexualizable object young enough to be worthy of his attention?

There is no winning, being catcalled or ignored is equally appalling to you, how is anyone supposed to go about their life in proximity to you? He could certainly say hi, but is not obligated or even expected to. His response likely has less to do with the fact that you're a woman than it does with they fact they probably have something else on their mind.

This from a court controlled by the party that decries the federal government having too much power. Watch as the spiders eat their own and go on not caring.

Seems like a good place for free public housing.

Fully Automated! is a free open-source tabletop roleplaying game set in a wild solarpunk future! And we’ve got some exciting additions since our last update in December.

First, there's the incredible cover art by Sean Bodley!

Next, there’s new interior art by Jacob Coffin, along with pages and pages of new content by our amazing open-source community of developers.

While there’s still lots of editing to do, the current text of the game manual and of the first campaign of adventures represent a pretty close approximation to what you’ll find in the final version. You can find both (for free) on our website at fullyautomatedrpg.com!

That’s the other thing: in addition to our Discord server, we now have a website, a Mastodon account (@[email protected]) and a Lemmy community (SLRPNK.net/c/fullyautomatedrpg). Follow us or join our mailing list for updates as we approach the release of the official first edition of the game. And if you want to contribute art or ideas, our developer group is always grateful for new contributors!

See more of Sean Bodley’s work at seanbodley.com, and Jacob Coffin’s work at jacobcoffinwrites.wordpress.com.

I love Octavia Butler and N.K. Jemisin's work, but most of the solarpunk content I've come across is short stories. What would y'all recommend that I can get lost in for a while?
