Most of their entire business model relies on collecting data hand over fist, constantly. Hell, even actively not using their products doesn't even make you safe.
Yeah, maybe. Much more system overhead on Windows and the driver situation is different (AMD drivers are now just included in the Linux kernel).
Am I missing something or is there simply no recourse if you lose your money over $250k (the FDIC limit)? The article mentions the FDIC limit but doesn't mention any kind of equivalent guarantee from Goldman Sachs (as if there would be one...).
Sometimes I will think of an hour and half as 150 minutes
You're still thinking of a pattern -- but there is a conflation between cardinal numbers and proportion/percentage. An hour and a half is 150% of one hour.
But no, that doesn't happen with imperial systems, because there just aren't really patterns to that level.
As someone who regularly plays Arma 3 on a 6600 XT (and on Linux no less), I'm kind of scratching my head here.
Derail Valley. It's an Early Access game on Steam and it is incredible. Amazing progression, super chill but fun grind, immersion through the roof. Goes to show that some of the best games can come from small (= in this case around 10 people) devs.
Florida
Checks out.
Ugh
Love it
How has America retired as World Policeman? One issue doesn't decide that. There's a lot of debate in the US currently about the amount of resources we spend outside the country on non-US citizens vs. what we do for our own.
cookie-cutter movies made by people who aren't fans of the source material
I'd add to this: people who aren't otherwise into the source material will also think that most superhero movies are just cookie-cutter movies. It can take a lot to elevate a superhero movie to a space where people not interested will care. The most recent Joker film comes to mind, but films of that quality are very few and far between.
And indeed, the whole point of superhero IP in the eyes of the c-suite is that story work is done. So it's like a push-pull situation where either the push or pull is winning out right now.
Edit: and another way to say mostly the same thing: all superhero movies are a rehash of previous IP, just in a different medium. I think a lot of folks just want new stories.
Exactly. Watching this all play out is strikingly similar to watching Trump get away with a mountain of stuff that would have put a poorer person in jail, and yet, no consequences.
