Tuta for mail, bitwarden for passwords, mullvad for vpn. You lose port forwarding.

I migrated last week. I dont miss proton.

I did something very similar, spent about a year on fedora ... 33? then discovered "my preferred distro" and never looked back.

Thing is that everyone finds their place with a distro and settles for as long as it suits their needs. Then, you might move on, you might not. Its just an OS, a means to an end. Use what you need, then use something else, no need to go to the doctor for hopping headaches :)

We have to bring those selfhosted guys over to db0 somehow :D

Goes hand in hand with the "Yarrisms"

Thats because I was not informed until I read your comment. I honestly didn't know that vaultwarden is what bitwarden self-hosted is called. Thanks. Guess I was ignorant.

I'll give it a try.

Are you happy with bitwarden? Its very tempting ... I'm just concerned about it being in the US, where some agency could "request" data.

I cancelled my proton the other day, right after his post.

As alternatives:

  • tuta for mail
  • psono, keepass, passbolt (self hosted) for the password manager
  • mullvad for vpn ( actually never used the proton one, I swear by mullvad)

Im still figuring out the drive, thinking of self hosting that too.

Good luck out there.

From a "distance" it looked like a black hole. Quite iconic. I get the OCD kf having a cohesive icon set, but ... my 2 cents is that it was easily identifyable.

Two birst are perched on a branch. One turns to the other and says: I'll push you. And he pushed him.

It is THE most relevant to your problem. I have friends like you, they are miserable but never change anything about themselves to improve their life. I was the same, went to therapy, opened up and untangled the bullshit that was my brain. Takes effort man.

You see the replies don't you? There is more than one person pointing at the problem.

Do it. But please be self-aware and remember that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Lets not get bogged down in analysis paralysis. Do it, gauge the feedback, adjust, iterate (the beatings will continue until morale improves).

Wait you are telling me that 26 subs was enough to hold the instance afloat? Holy shit take my money!
