Occupy Wall Street started strong but quickly decended into uncoordinated nonsense. The initial message was simple, popular, and actionable about how it's bullshit that global austerity and government cutbacks were hurting the 99% whilst the 1% who caused the crash got off scott free with massive bailouts and tax cuts.

Because it was a "leaderless" collective action it quickly got occupied itself by all sorts of weird and wacky movements who diluted the message and gave the right wing media all the ammo they could ever want to paint the whole thing as "just some crazy hippies chatting shit about communism" or whatever.

It's pretty typical of movements on the left unfortunately. Everyone wants to be super inclusive so all ideas are equally important and you can't just dismiss ideas as not being relevant without creating a load of infighting. The alternative however means people with bad ideas (ones who often have more time and energy to boot) can easily take over the conversation and your whole message gets diluted, confused, and easily disarmed by the media.

Yeah it's a bit scary playing them last lol. I'd rather get it out of the way early.

What an opening weekend though. Italy made for an exciting first half, it's nice to see them play well. The second half of the Wales Scotland game was fantastic to watch. Exciting down to the very last moment.

That was a very dominant display from Ireland. Some beautiful tries from both sides, but France looked very unorganised for half the match. Their second try was tough to call, it was hard to see if it actually made contact or not. Probably the right call to say it did though.

Chickens are vaccinated against salmonella (and a bunch of other things) when they are chicks in Europe. It means you don't need to worry about shitting yourself to death, the chickens are slightly happier by not being sick, and your eggs stay fresher for longer.

It would probably add $0.005 per egg, so US producers will claim it's communism if a regulation is brought in to vaccinate chicken, but it would be worth doing.

As others have said, that's basically pop shell. Cosmic will be out of alpha at some point this year, but you don't need to wait for that to get started. I've been using pop os on my personal machine, and Ubuntu gnome with the pop-shell gnome extension for many years and it works great. Pretty much zero config and it is super easy to set up and get started.

To counter this I used to visit some factories for a big contract manufacturer in the UK. They would often make say lasagne for the supermarkets and for the "premium" brands. Whilst they were all made in the same place, the "premium" brands products had much better quality ingredients in them and different ratios of the good stuff (say meat) to filler (say pasta sheets).

For some things it's the exact same materials, but for many it's different. You have to do blind taste tests to see which ones you prefer.

I find the opposite with some hobbies. If you buy a cheap acoustic guitar it's going to be horrible to play and will probably sound crap. That might discourage you from continuing. More expensive guitars have a much better resale value too, so you'd probably be out of pocket for less if you buy a nice one and sell it again than if you bought a crap one and no one else wanted to buy it.

Off by 1 error. They'll fit right in!

To be fair it's possible a lot of that sentiment on here is astroturfing or people who are anti US trying to stir things up. If you check back in their content history they usually only post divisive stuff about the same few topics and reply agreement to other people doing the same thing.

And that's the balance after paying it off for a decade or more.

There's dozens of game engines written in rust, and a few actual games.

Oh it's totally normal for someone to shoot themselves15 times with a gun that holds 11 bullets. They probably reloaded halfway through.
