Right? This dude was probably just hosting all of the content that the platforms removed over the years lol

so what to do now?

How about a Civics exam that you need to pass in order to vote? If somebody doesn't know the basics of the government including federal vs provincial vs municipal, then their vote shouldn't count because they have no underiof what they're voting for in the first place.

Not all of us, but it sure feels like the province has been lobotomized

The problem is that this country is fucking brain-dead and tries to elect conservatives federally every chance they can. Shit, there's an actual chance somebody as against the general public as Poilivere could be elected. There are actually working class folk out there absolutely excited to fuck themselves and everybody else over by electing him in. Every point they make against Trudeau will very possibly continue or be worse under PP yet they're out there with raging truck boners hopping to vote him in.

And that has the potential to fuck the entire country over for healthcare instead of just a few lobotomized provinces.

Be careful what you wish for.

It really just seems like it proves that the applicant is able to work in an environment where everything is already pre-installed and running with no need to learn basic troubleshooting, and that they were able to sit through a few years of focusing on specific aspects of a textbook and writing incredibly mundane programs... and quite possibly lack the ability to learn on their own and think outside of the box...

Interviews and testing seem like they would be a far better way to vet applicants

And generally signs pointing out the potential for deer and other animals crossing. Will probably opt to drive like mad at night through them? Probably, but you can't fix stupid nor should you let them take away the rights and privileges of the less stupid

I don't even get postsecondary for a good chunk of areas... Like computer programming, for example. Why would anybody need a degree that says "I don't know how to read textbooks, use Google, and learn in my own"? I'm sure there are lots of degrees just like that

If you're traveling through an area where there is the potential for wildlife to yeet itself onto the roard, then chances are there will be signs posted and a reduced speed limit...

This still sounds like shit driving, and as somebody stuck doing pointless commutes to an office and back every day I swear people on the road have gotten significantly worse after the COVID restrictions lightened up.

So glad I left the publishing industry. I went in with a lot of respect many years ago, but it was so gross. All about how much money could be milked from students. Accuracy of information was in second or third place of importance

Don't blame the cars for their shitty occupants. There are plenty of other things to blame on vehicles, but this isn't one. This is shit drivers, shit drive tests, and try fact at after you get your license the whole thing just becomes a pay-to-play subscription. Should be mandatory re-tests every time (or every other time) it needs to be renewed.

How do I copyright myself and I every last bit of content that I create?

Why are they concerned? They have plenty of oil to drink

As a 10+ year Reddit user, I recently made the jump here to Lemmy and was hoping to re-join some of the old groups. Is there a running list somewhere of all the groups on here that started as subreddits?

What's the right term for them, anyway? Group? Sublemmy? Community?
