My kids turned me on to this a while back. Haven't watched the show they made, but the YouTube vids are great and the songs are catchy! Such a great concept!
My guess of the top 10 were way off!
Yea finding length of card and clearance of case is probably the main hurdle. Based on selection, think you should be ok, but always best to verify numbers. Didn't look at what card came with, but some additional support might be nice. Some cards come with a support bracket. Otherwise they sell adjustable bars that support the card, or you can just improvise something.
They could hash pairs of characters on password creation and store those. Seems like more data points to guess the original password, but maybe the math is hard enough it doesn't do much.
My first couple things would be to verify the usb cable does data. Some cables are power only, and that obviously won't work. If you have any other devices you can test with, that'd be great. Like verify an older android phone is seen by the computer with the cable. Other thing would be to change the serial USB settings. Try different data rates like 115200 and 57600. Should be 115200, but who knows if/when Creality changes something.
So I might not be of any help, but probably need more information. Are you running stock or have you made any modifications or using a custom firmware? Are you able to connect via network to Octoprint at least? Try different usb cables?
Didn't even bother looking if alternatives existed, glad to see some listed here though. Will have to try them in the future.

So I know nothing of high powered flashlights. Are they just for fun? Searching? Blinding small children? Has the bright light ever helped or saved you?

American style bubble chip?? As an American, wtf is a bubble chip? Our chips don't look anything like on that package. Im assuming these are potato based?
