I think you would be best served by a case that can hold at least 3 similarly sized drives for a useful RAID set up. This allows one drive failure and you retain 2/3rds of your total storage capacity.

I have an LG CX which I do not connect to the internet. I use it as a monitor for my Home Theater PC. You still get access to streaming services through Mozilla and, bonus, you can play video games, use CAD software, browse the web... It's far more useful.

Dell also sells large format monitors if you want to avoid TVs all together.

While I don't disagree with the statement around privacy in public, I would encourage you to temper that thought with the realization that when that was developed we did not have the ability to be everywhere at once with cameras or fly drones over people's homes or track cellphones with GPS or use computers to process this information.

This information can and has been abused.

Maybe we should change our expectations to SOME privacy in public.

Tax payers determine the amount of taxes their school districts receive to pay employees and make capital expenditures. The community needs to offer more pay, be more affordable, or suffer the consequences of under funded districts.

Seconded. On a hardtail, skill and endurance being equal, you should smoke your full suspension buddies on the uphills. Ride your bike and have fun. Sorry I don't have advice to share on budget upgrades.
