Add to this: I once used clonezilla to clone boot drive with LUKS partition and let clonezilla handle partition table.

The LUKS partition expanded, but what's under LUKS partition is bugged (keeps it's initial size, but there is no free space in LUKS container), I have to use gparted in a live system to fix it.

From my understanding by reading the website, if non of your devices have a static IPv6 address, you need to add a public node or get a VPS that has static IPv6 address, is that true?

You probably need to do this with a live system (not using a system that is on the partition you want to rename)

I can answer question 1 confidently:

Yes, web host does know your IP, not limited to lemmy, this is how Internet works.

Partially answering question 3:

Someone said lemmy doesn't comply with GDPR because deleted is a boolean (true/false) value

There was a thread that asks the same question (which I can't find... somebody paste the link pls):

You can observe lemmy's database schema on Github.

This links to current (as of me making this comment, the link links to fixed version of code, not "current latest") version of "local_user" table.

Having this issue with Firefox 114.0.2 on Linux, clear cache doesn't work, ctrl+F5 does.

I tried it again and you are totally correct if you see this message.

Reasons I can think of:

  1. The official Android client for lemmy, Jerboa, only supports 0.18 and later, unless users download older version from github and sideload manually.

  2. Sorting is broken pre 0.18, new posts keeps flowing in.

  3. Performance improvement by removing web socket from lemmy. (which fixes 2, which is why 1. happens)

Not a disk but read only USB drive is a thing.

Disappear as in physically disappear? I wouldn't spend that "money" knowing that I will be sued.

Disappear as in I don't get to spend that money? Buy my mother's phone with 1 million and let her use the phone anyway.
