Awesome, I've wanted to play Inscryption for so long but never pulled the trigger! I've heard good things about it and it seems right up my alley, so I'm looking forward to it

That's still pretty insane, new games were about $80 here a couple of years ago
That's awesome! I only have a Playstation and Macbook so I never had a way to play most gamepass games. I already used Geforce Now so this is perfect for me!
Yeah it's really making me realise how much of reddit is NSFW haha
A lot of subs have already gone dark (over 4000 as of now), you can see a live progress tracker on reddark.untone.uk if you want to watch 😊
Copied from my other comment:
I just found it as well, it's in your phone (e.g., Google) settings. For my phone (Samsung) I go:
(Samsung) Settings -> Apps -> Jerboa for Lemmy -> Set as Default -> Supported Web Addresses
That leads to the page shown in the OP screenshot 😊

It's very much a flawed gem. It's definitely a little clunky (and the graphics have definitely aged) but it has some unique systems. The pawn system is cool (you create your main character plus a 'pawn' character that follows you, and you can summon other players pawns to fill out your team, which gives those players some rewards).
The magic system makes you feel like a badass (a lot of slow-charging but really powerful spells) and the melee combat is pretty fun as well (you can climb large enemies to attack them, Shadow of the Colossus style).
It is pretty long but I also found the gameplay to be the main appeal for me, so I personally wouldn't feel pressured to finish the game. It goes on pretty deep discounts fairly regularly so you could pick it up without much of a commitment (it looks like it's $4.80 USD on steam now). It can be pretty challenging though (especially early on) so keep that in mind if you're not a fan of difficult games.
The new Gollum game was very impressive in the way it managed to implement so many of the mechanics in this thread
Only started the first game in late 2021 but I loved it! The whole time I was wishing for an updated version so I was stoked to see this get announced shortly after. Can't wait
Good to see it's still there
(great pic by the way)
It's just a meme, since they're both highly anticipated movies with very different vibes releasing on the same day. I don't think most people are actually expecting them to compete (if anything, most of the jokes I see are about watching a Barbie/Oppenheimer double feature). It's the same as the Doom Eternal/Animal Crossing jokes a few years back
