I didn't mean to pretend that this will be any different. My hope is, that there will be some people who will see that there is an alternative to big tech and maybe drop Threads in favour of a real fediverse instance.

Yeah there is more content on Reddit or FB/IG, but that doesn't mean, that the content there is useful to users in the fediverse.
The reactions you are seeing are based off of Metas history. We will see how it works out.
Already was using it in TestFlight, but needed to download it to rate it in the App Store.
Additionally Mazdas are relatively cheap for what you get, and they last.

My guess is, that normal people always assume if it's free there has to be ads or something else involved.
The one I chose is 4 seasons by vivaldi, got the right length for me.
I started listening to the same classical music piece while being productive. After a few weeks doing this, hearing the piece automatically puts my brain into work mode and I get less distracted.
I doubt that the main source of software performance issues is due to security. I think the main problem is that software is not optimized anymore. Add this lib and that one.
Most devs I work with don’t even know how much CPU or memory their application needs to run.
