If you watch carefully during landing burn, you can see it actuate a little but then sheer sideways. It was still attached but uhh, slightly less reusable than expected lol. It looked pretty wedged in place as the final shots show the ship fully stop moving. Just incredible! I really hope we see any kind of tracking shots externally in the near future.

And my 5G unlimited plan is $70/mo, but can go as low as $20/mo for 4G prepaid on my network. Seems reasonable to me.

For clarity, the reasonable part is that the pin network subscription is ~$20 here. Not that $20 for 4G is reasonable but that’s a different issue than what we are discussing specifically.

Man cashback is such a good movie. I’m legit surprised to see it pop up randomly on a post here! Excellent taste! I’m gonna have to go rewatch that now.

The subscription makes sense for having LTE access. That’s not really a problem nor hard to justify. Even the concept sounds pretty solid overall. But everything from price to execution was just wildly bad.

You… don’t know why people eat an incredibly cheap, filling, and tasty sandwich?

I guarantee you your kid is asking themselves the same question.

Memphis design will always win my vote. The weird ass electronics, the ground breaking UI components, just absolutely nutty decisions and insane product concepts built on everyone’s wild dreams of the future. I even think the same forward looking design concepts carried into the Y2K designs— particularly with personal electronics like phones.

This is the crux of quantum field theory, no? Where Newtonian and Einsteinian physics are all entirely emergent properties of fields that are governed by quantum principles? I’m in the cross-eyed camp so I’m way out my depth.

I’m ok with it. There’s plenty of content I’ve missed out on and memes are meant to be recycled into jpeg artifact oblivion. If anything, this just helps bolster the amount of content available on these platforms that can help new users not feel like joining an empty hallway echo chamber. It’s part of the growing pains of trying to get new / alternative platforms up and running.
