It's ridiculous how far right the USA has moved when it comes to immigration. Reagan was a scumbag overall but was right about this. Frankly it pisses me off that even the Democrats are so far right on this.

This city sounds like a shitshow, Social Services came the day before to take the baby but no one answered the door so they just left? They didn't even check with the apartment management office? My mom used to do that for a living and would always have the police come with her for any situation like that.

It obviously was a bad situation before the cops showed up, but the father was right to not let them in at first. This situation is exactly what the 'defund the police' slogan was aiming at, Social Services should have definitely responded with the police, really any time the police believe a child is involved.

More short sighted corporate greed. It's a great period to try and pull in Twitter users but instead let's add ads for a short term bump in profits.

I went to a similar looking middle school, but each grade was in one giant room probably the size of a gym. No class had an actual wall unless it was on the edge. Probably 10-11 classes in each big room for the grade. The only dividers between classes were like rolling bulletin boards and maybe a metal cabinet or two. I couldn't imagine having to teach in those conditions because it always was pretty noisy.

I also remember the school's gym had a full locker room with showers but students weren't allowed to use the showers and none of the bathrooms in the school had stall doors. And the stalls were those short ones were your head was higher than the top of the wall. It was super weird.

I've literally already seen Trump supporting family members post about how Trump has worked at McDonald's and Harris was lying about it, so that's why he should run the country.

Not to be a downer but what is Ukraine's casualties at? I'm sure this rate of loss of Russian young men is going to kneecap population levels there but I can only imagine how screwed Ukraine's will be as well.

I've heard a saying, two things you should never do on the Internet are argue or explain. It takes up a lot of mental energy and time to do it for no reward.

That's a diet that's avoiding nightshades not a vegan diet. Some people think nightshades can trigger inflammation or autoimmune diseases but there really isn't any evidence about it. Some people with irritable bowel disease fine nightshades trigger flare ups but that's about all I've heard of.
