I was surprised to read that a country in South Europe mainly used Viber. I'm not European but I'm almost definite that WhatsApp has the largest market share for chat apps in all of Europe. Maybe Telegram coming a close second

I don't see why it shouldn't work. I have my ISP router set to pass through mode and my mikrotik router behind it

For those of us that live in the West African tropics, we just settle on how many bites we can tolerate per night lol. Some people apply agricultural pesticides (active ingredient Bifenthrin) down their waste water pipes once a month to ameliorate.

Looks really nice. First auto I got was a Seiko from my dad. Makes it my most desired brand

Neat piece of software we use at the office to provide remote support to customers.

It does take a while to get the hang of Mastodon, especially if you come with a Twitter mindset expecting some algorithm to push Content to your timeline. Once you start following the Hashtag and topics that interests you, then the "power" of mastodon comes to the fore

This is a quick post to welcome the new subscribers to [email protected]! How do you use Freepbx in your several instances?

So now that we have two more subscribers here, I thought it right to make a welcome post. Hopefully we can grow the community! I am the "mod" here but I must confess that I am what I would describe as an intermediate-to-advanced beginner. Most of my professional experience has been within the last 22 months working as an L1 Freepbx tech. Basically updating and configuring dialplan change requests. I am open to handing over moderation to considerably more experienced folks.

To get the conversation rolling, what would be your recommendations for growing in the field? How would you suggest a rookie plans their career path to ensure rapid growth to attain expertise and relevance in the field? What skis and toolsets have been of great impact to you more experienced folks?

So on a different platform, I came across heated conversations about more experienced tech workers being unwilling to mentor new entrants. While I thought that was an unfair accusation, I thought to ask a wider audience their views and thoughts on mentoring upcommers. Do you mentor anyone? Were you mentored? How much impact does mentoring have on career growth?
