Thickness and weight might have been a serious issue 10 years ago but batteries have reached such high energy densities that the additional volume/weight becomes negligible especially considering how thin most phones already are.

Natürlich kann man absolut berechtigte Grundsatzdebatten über Steuer- und Verteilungsgerechtigkeit, sowie die Schuldenbremse führen, über Reichensteuer, Vermögenssteuer, Erbschaftsteuer, Abgeltungssteuer, Rentengeschenke, Sparvorgaben usw. Aber unter Lindners Prämisse des klammen Haushalts und des Sparzwangs ist diese Kürzung absolut gerechtfertigt und der einzig richtige Schritt.
Man kann jetzt irgendwelche definitorischen Debatten über Mittelschicht und Oberschicht führen, aber bei 150 000+ € zu versteuerndes Haushaltseinkommen, reden wir einfach über die obersten 3% (siehe Einkommensteuerstatistik). 97% in diesem Land haben ein geringeres Einkommen. Egal wie man es dreht und wendet, das ist am Ende einfach Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau.
Die Medien muss man bei Berichterstattung über Verteidigungsthemen leider nach wie vor mit einer LKW-Ladung Salz nehmen. Es gibt zwar manche Journalisten und Blogs, die sich auskennen, aber im allgemeinen ist das Drehbuch immer da gleiche. Irgendein vermeintlicher Skandal wird groß aufgebaut, "seht her, wie inkompetent die Bundeswehr / das Verteidigungsministerin ist" und vielleicht kommt irgendwann später kleinlaut eine Richtigstellung. Das beste Beispiel war der "Skandal " um das G36 seinerzeit.
Absolutely, I not some anarchist type who hates corporations out of principle but at this point the enshittification of platforms by large corporations has basically proven to be a natural law of the internet.
I'm somewhat in doubt though whether a decentralized platform run by its users can really keep up with all ongoing developments. Let's say bots become a problem what about bot detection and banning or what about legal regulatory changes? That being said, reddit devs appear utterly incompetent and somehow they manage. Perhaps in the long run some non-profit organization, something like the Wikimedia Foundation is necessary, at least for individual parts of the network.
Maybe someone with more insights into these topics can share their opinion.
What can I say? I obviously agree or else I wouldn't be here but vilifying or antagonizing people for not caring enough about this seems silly. The reddit protest is definitely not of such upmost moral importance that there's any kind of moral obligation for every redditor to join it. I'm sure that there are thousands of relevant issues out there where I have chosen to stay ignorant and neutral because I just can't fight every struggle at once.
Natürlich wird das nicht wirklich kontrolliert werden, so wie auch die Gurtpflicht nicht effektiv kontrolliert wird, aber ein Unrechtsbewusstsein schafft es trotzdem, allein schon wegen der Schlagzeilen jetzt.
Why? There are a lot of redditors who have never used third party apps and who don't have any horse in this race. Now I don't think Reddit's behavior bodes well for the future of the site but I can fully understand why some users and mods would choose to ignore all this drama. This is also very far from a high stakes "life or death" situation so I don't think there's anything akin to a moral obligation to join the protest. At the end of the day, if lemmy offers a better community people will come here.
Alles was Lindner von seinem Sparfetisch abbringt ist ersteinmal eine gute Nachricht. Das Problem ist eher, dass dieses Entlastungspaket viel zu klein ist (0.1% BIP) und Lindner dafür wahrscheinlich woanders sparen will. Lindner und der Kanzler sind mit ihrem Haushalt gerade dabei das Land mit Vollgas gegen die Wand zu fahren. Wir befinden uns jetzt schon in einer Rezession, Die Coronakrise ist gerade überwunden, der größte Krieg in Europa seit 75 Jahren läuft unvermindert weiter, von der Klimakrise erst gar nicht zu sprechen. Und in dieser Situation will die Bundesregierung jetzt radikal sparen, um zur "fiskalischen Normalität" zurückzukehren. Viel Glück und guten Nacht...
