Pretty sure he's hoping he's not the only one.

Eh, he's been pretty good over all. We've had better, though the list of worse Presidents is a bit longer. Over all, Joe did step up and get more done than expected for what felt like a forced square into a round hole situation. What he might not have done was solve YOUR issues.

The issue wasn't his full term. The issue became his last handful of months and the absolute atrocity that is the DNC communication strategy.

I said months ago that Biden and the larger Democratic party needed to come out swinging. I doubled down after Biden's lackluster debate. When Harris hit the ground sprinting I was actually happy. Then some traditional democratic strategic asshat convinced her to simmer down and take a risky route that would only have worked 25 years ago.

Step up, Dems. We've gone from cushy NFL offsides to NFL Blitz and you're waaay behind.

Yup. Let him go crazy with those powers. As sour as it tastes, he was given authority to do so by the Federal Supreme Court. If MAGA doesn't like it they can kiss our collective asses and roll that shit back.

They won't, of course, for a couple reasons:

  1. It IS another form of power
  2. They know the left will have plenty of people complaining whenever someone on their side decides to use it, while everyone on the Far Right will rejoice.

I suggest those of you whining about this take a step back and look at the bigger issues. One of which happens to be rather rotund, orange, and requires us to stop bickering.

My favorite place to nap was in the Art building. Not only was it a huge open space, literally no one would bother you. Moreover, there was always someone practicing an instrument or working on some form of music. One time before their exam I heard a girl warming up her voice and hoooooly shit there was no way she got anywhere below a 100% or however they grade. She was so good I nearly decided to go find her and express my gratitude for an amazing performance. haha

Not all who voted for him voted FOR Trump. I agree that MAGA is likely never going to be convinced. The rest of them can be and they should be the ones we're willing to talk to.

We must not give them an inch wherever and whenever we can. Fight back with clear communication and facts. Challenge constantly. Party doesn't matter. Remember that many people who voted for Trump did so legitimately not understanding what it would mean. Time to educate because people will start wanting to listen

It's on us to fight this shit. Get angry and stay that way. Go on Twitter and other platforms to directly challenge this assertion. Give them not a single inch without having to fight for it.

Nah, you're right, better give up.

Or...

We try and do whatever we can, even at the smallest levels.

Musk is focused at his level. I say we sweep the foundations.

That's effectively my assessment. I've never viewed Trump as the main threat. He's just the mouth and head and while he might bite, it's so very often based on the whim of the body and the whispers of those nearby. That said, if a natural passing took him tonight we'd see a lot of what has been built crumble. My worry is he'll end up being like that Grandma who smoked for 50 years and died in her sleep: Largely immune to his life of imbalance, greed, and gluttony, and able to live long enough to properly pass the torch. Cause make no mistake, if he passed in a way that was unquestionably natural, we'd quickly see rifts form.

That's just it too. If you want any strategy to combat the next two years it'll be through the undermining of the various subtle factions in the MAGA and GOP. It's already there, we just gotta poke it in the correct spots to send up sparks in the right places.

Moreover, the trustee, amongst other powers granted, has a legal expectation to do what is best for whomever he is technically representing. Despite The Onion's smaller monetary bid, they really did have the higher bid overall.
