I’ve had Sey and enjoyed it as well! Verve sounds familiar, so I might have had it before.

Just did some testing. While playing a game and pulling 22w, the battery says about 4 hours. While playing a game with a partially depleted battery pulling the full 40w, it says 2hrs.

If you limit the power you will obviously be able to stretch it quite a bit. Overall, quite a bit of extra playtime.

I have been getting my beans from Fellow Drops for about a year or so now. I haven’t had a single bad bag from them, and I am always getting to try new things. Their bags can be a bit more pricey, but so far I would say it is worth the price.

My two favorite bags I’ve gotten from them so far have been from Onyx. Their stuff is expensive, but damn is it good.

Hey, we all start somewhere! I ordered mine from keyhive and made the mistake of ordering the DIY version. I usually like to do things myself, but had a hell of a time soldering the SMD diodes on. I would recommend the partially assembled version. Keyhive also lists the other parts you will need. If you order the partially assembled version, you will only need a microcontroller, switches, and caps for a complete keyboard! Keyhive also lists the microcontrollers you can use. Personally, I love the nice!nano. It ads BLE and the battery lasts for quite a while. You will need to solder the microcontroller, but it’s easy to do assuming you have an iron. Let me know if you have more questions!

The Corne is a very popular split keyboard that is very cheap. It requires some level of DIY, but the main board can be had for $33. It can also be made Bluetooth with the nice!nano. You will still need switches and caps, but depending on what you’re after, those can be cheap as well.

I can second this. I got mine on sale for $110, but even at full price it is worth it. With 140w of output power, it can even charge my Mac at full speed without issue.

It will for sure be my next espresso machine. Just got my first one for Christmas last year, so still learning. I don’t think my wife would let me buy a second one so soon lol.

How does the Opus hold up? I’ve heard mixed reviews, especially when grinding for espresso.

Very jealous of that Decent! Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t have one though. I feel like I would go crazy trying to dial in the perfect recipe with all the stats it gives and customizations you can do.

To drink, it usually just depends on my mood. Sometimes I just use the v60. For espresso, I usually make latte’s with oat milk. The oat milk gives a nice nutty flavor that I love. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll add some white chocolate and go for a white chocolate mocha.

For beans, I’ve been loving Fellow Drops. Haven’t gotten bad beans from them yet!

What issues do you have with the build quality? I have the one with wood accents, and as long as I use some wood oil on it occasionally I don’t have any issues.

Yes, that is unfortunately the trade off. I’ve seen some others that get up to temp super fast, but they overshoot it and you have to wait for it to come back down to your desired temp. For me, I prefer it slowly getting where I need to go rather than having to wait for it come back down, but that’s just me.

Don’t feel inadequate! Coffee is coffee and we all start somewhere. Our love of coffee is what brings us together, not the amount of money we’ve spent on equipment in pursuit of the perfect cup. Oddly enough, a French Press is the one brewer I DON’T own lol.

A fellow 1ZPresso user! I have a JX Pro and it was my daily use grinder before I got the Niche. After I started making espresso, I had a hard time dialing in the grind on the JX Pro. It seemed inconsistent, one shot would be perfect, and the next would be horrible with nothing else changing. I had been wanting something automatic for a long time, and decided to go with the Niche. I still use the JX Pro when I go camping, since the carrying case is great.
