I'm sure glad I knew what Web 3.0 was and totally didn't have to read this Wikipedia article.

Literal chills every single time!

That's a great idea, thanks for the suggestion! I'm not exactly Mr. Money Bags but I can probably afford to send some cheap pizza once/week or something!

As an aside, it's crazy how expensive delivered food is! I get it, but delivery's definitely become a 'luxury'!

To echo @[email protected], you should give LibreWolf a look. It's based on Firefox, but with the telemetry disabled and the default settings set in a way that best protects your privacy.

One adjustment I faced when switching to it was that, by default, LibreWolf deletes all cookies upon exiting, which was annoying for sites I want to stay logged into (e.g. my email). But you can either turn that off, or click on the lock icon in the address bar and tell LibreWolf to save cookies for that site, which is what I did- and WOW DO I LOVE IT! Bonus perk is that it breaks nag windows on sites that keep track of how many articles you've read.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Have they talked to any union organizers, or are they going it wildcat?

Not sure! I know they have an official union rep, but I don't know if they're a formal union with real support. I've asked and will reply again once I find out!

Local social media and news outlets are good places to broadcast the strike. Talk to people at similar businesses and see if they can join the strike.

Absolutely! I asked if they have a web page or official statement that can be shared with local news orgs. I don't think they do yet, but I'm pushing them to get one out!

Excellent! I'll definitely do that! Thanks for the feedback.

They cannot join a rival business (nature of the industry / position they're in) and they are picketing.

I could probably take a day off work and show up with food / water. Not sure how helpful that is?

A friend of mine just announced that they and their co-workers are going on a strike to protest poor working conditions and pay.

What are some concrete steps I can do to support them? What are some things they can do to ensure the strike gets attention and is successful?

The friends we made along the way?

Yeah, those prices on the refurb LCDs was insane, but I wasn't ready at the time to pull the trigger and now the only refurb LCD available is the 512GB.

Hey y'all, I'm just starting to dip my toes into learning more about the Steam Deck and was wondering how likely it is that we'll see refurbished OLED decks for sale by Valve around Black Friday?

If unlikely, what do you recommend as the best way to find a good deal on a used OLED for the holidays?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: To clarify, I'm only interested in the OLED version, despite the crazy good deals on a refurb LCD model!

I got no helpful advice, but wishing you and your family all the best.

Sorry, as someone who frequently mispronounces everything, I'm not the right person to ask.

Hi all! I'm trying to learn more about NixOS and wondering if anyone had an material they'd recommend that was Flake centric?

I'm planning to test drive NixOS on a secondary laptop as a learning opportunity- not planning on using it as a daily driver at this time, so I'm not too concerned about the learning curve; I realize it'll be a bumpy and steep road!

I did want to give a shout-out to @[email protected] and everyone who replied in the NixOS beginner resources thread! Tons of good content shared there that I'm still working my way through.
