You can see their content, but they wont see anything you contribute to it. I just unsubscribed from any beehaw communities so I stop seeing them.

concerning repeat posts showing for DAYS

This bothers me a fair bit, I had a post about someone using comic sans as their programming font as the top post for days. Someone's wacky font choices are just not that interesting I'm sorry.

Same, on reddit it felt like someone was just waiting for you to post so they could pick it apart.

RedHat in the mid-late 90s here too. It wasn't a great time for the linux desktop haha. I think I used afterstep or windowmaker back then. RPM hell was bad and hosed my system enough that Debian was like a savior with apt-get. Never really looked back from debian based systems since.

It wasn't ruining my life or anything, my "rage" is just swearing a bit, but they pick up on tone etc. So if I notice a game gets me like that, I just wont play it. It's not exactly fun when they're like that anyway.

I stopped playing any game that makes me rage, because my dogs react as if I'm angry with them - since it's just me and them in the room, obviously I must be mad with them.

Having to make a new account because I wanted to see NSFW on another instance was kind of a mood killer. Not sure how that could be done better but I really don't want to be making other accounts.

This is a very good question - when I'm troubleshooting things my default search pattern is: " 2023 reddit", because 99% of the other search results are pure garbage.

Last game had some good bits! They'll turn it around.. in a few years. Also a west coast supporter, it's a rough time.

Pop!_OS

Tried a bunch of others recently, including Fedora 38, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, Linux mint.. the rpm distros somehow seem to break themselves , and Pop is just more polished than Mint I find. I like trying new releases out but always end up back on Pop OS. For server, always debian stable.
