I'm about 10 hours in, it's enjoyable, but it sounds like the game is missing the depth and stats of older FF games.

I always loved over leveling in previous FF games, getting the best gear and stats, but I feel like that's missing here, the combat is a bit too involved/intense to find grinding for levels fun.

I still plan to finish it since I'm enjoying the story, but will be more hesitant on getting future FF games if this is the direction they're going.

I finally broke down and got a PS5 to play FF16, put about 5 hours in so far and enjoying it.

Will have to check out some other PS exclusive games in the near future too (if anyone has any recommendations apart from God of War, feel free to suggest!)

That's awesome! Where did you get it from?

I really enjoyed The Outwaters, but felt the low budget ($15,000) kept it from being great. I don't think the majority people with like it due to the slow pacing and frustrating editing, but if you're ok with that it helps amp up the atmosphere and the feeling of it being a found footage film.

Rise of the Phoenix, the hottest season of MARVEL SNAP, is about to take flight! This Season Pass is inspired by and features one of the Multiverse's oldest ...

They seem fine picks, not mind blowing, but I assume they have something if James Gunn has picked them. At least this news distracts from The Flash failing at the box office.

Glad they're not getting thrown under the bus, hopefully they can move onto a game they want to make with the team they now have, sounds like they had a real bad go of things during the production of Redfall.

Guacamelee is an amazing metroidvania oozing with style, highly recommend these games!

Wolfenstein 3D

The graphics and gameplay were mind blowing at the time.

Contenders for me so far out of what I've played:

  • Marvel Snap
  • Hi-Fi Rush
  • Resident Evil 4 Remake
  • Diablo 4

While I'm not done with it, I think Diablo 4 takes the crown so far due to the amount of time and enjoyment I've had with it, really well done game that even after the hype blew away my expectations.
