I wouldn't mind if they started a subscription model that makes them enough to keep the thing running and be completely independent from Google.

That's very possible I leave GOG on usually, I will check again tomorrow if the hours climbed up significantly

I would start by checking if there's a relevant community to the thing I need help with, for instance there are already Samsung and Android communities, I guess there's one for Apple too, I would assume that for now you can make tech support posts in any of them.

If the thing you need help with is doesn't yet have a relevant community then posting in tech support communities like the one the other commenter linked might be your best bet.

Societal pressure to "settle down" as young as possible. Due to the economy of course that has become a very unrealistic expectation.

Ikr? I was under the impression that Mayayo wasn't interested but he probably saw the potential even more so when other former reddit 3rd party apps are switching, potentially bringing a lot of users.

I've used the app for years, I'm pretty happy it's getting it's lemmy version, it's a surprise but a welcome one.
