I've gotten 8 of these texts in the last 9 days. Every single one has a different URL. Out of curiosity I clicked on one of the links and chrome detected Chinese on the page but I couldn't see it anywhere.

Most people that would go apple picking aren't getting that many, like half a basket, maybe 15-20 pounds at most. It takes like 10 minutes and you're paying by the pound for what you take home for half the price or less than you would at the store.

It can be a fun activity for kids, I don't see what you're upset about.

I found the setting for showing a user's instance, but still no setting for showing the instance of communities.

On Android, former Relay for Reddit user.

Right now I have SEVEN lemmy apps on my home screen as I figure out which I like best. So far I keep going back to Sync the most.

Boost's animations suck. It takes too long to show the post list after swiping away an image and the whole screen goes black, it's a bit jarring.

Liftoff works well but it's ugly.

Jerboa isn't very customizable and the post list doesn't feel dense enough.

Voyager literally does not tell you what instance the community you're viewing is on.

I haven't touched Thunder in a while but I see they've updated quite a bit with a lot more customization. I remember older versions being nice, so I'll give it a try again.

Connect is about the same as Liftoff, works well but kinda ugly. Admittedly not as ugly though.

It's not a lunar eclipse, it's an annular solar eclipse.

Not as exciting as a regular solar eclipse. The moon is in a farther position of its orbit to not be able to fully cover the sun.

Most pawn shops deal primarily with guns, tools, and jewelry. You'll also find all kinds of electronics and collectibles, some places may have furniture too.

Not enough people (including you) don't know that "Nazi" is an abbreviation for "national socialist".

This meme is about telling Nazis we're not interested in their BS.

Porcelain usually isn't glazed and is made from a finer particulate clay allowing it to be smooth and non porous on its own. It's the cheaper ceramics that rely on the glaze to be water proof that are prone to this problem.

If your dishes aren't getting unusually hot in the microwave then they're fine.

RCS wasn't originally supposed to run on data, it only does now because carriers didn't want to support it natively.

If the glaze on a ceramic plate has micro cracks on it, it can cause water to get inside the plate, which then gets hot in the microwave. Throw it away, it can grow bacteria.

I'm glad you're optimistic but warming has a roughly 40 year delayed effect and we're already seeing changes. Even if by some magic we halted all emissions, and I mean ALL, we'd still be warming into the 2060s.

The only way to make the 1.5c target would be a massive investment in carbon capture and huge reduction in carbon emissions.

I just don't see it happening. I don't see the world even trying until it's too late.

Some of this delayed effect has been debated, but we ought to consider the cascading effects as well.

The other day I launched an old game and got met with an error, something about directX9 and missing a redistributable file or something. Decided not to fuck with it.

Yesterday I launched it again to take a closer look at the error message to see if I could fix it. No error message, game booted without issues.

My confusion.
