Google also seems to rely on Amazon for product recommendations. Not that they have a brand name or any one function - more like 10 words listed in hopes of a key word.

Even when I search for the brand in quotations on Amazon I still get pages of sponsored BS. Why must everyone everywhere be so eager to purvey garbage. At least don't enjoy it

I love how my subscribed are all in one list now, as opposed to have to select each one...other than that however, I honestly wouldn't want to change much else. Somehow it makes it easier to explore. Reddit made it too easy to set in ritual...or it seems I'm hitting more topics here anyway

Oooooooh, do we get booted in here when it's overloaded lol I've had an account since June 20th! Do you know who I am?? :))

Truly though, this is awesome. I hope the impact surpasses reddits wildest estimations. As most people it seems...I'm not a mod, don't use a 3rd party ap and I'm not blind. I just paid attention.

This is my first cat picture appreciation comment pretty much ever...I'm not much of an animal pic person. But the mood has struck me! Meowy Junly

Someone had posted the idea of unsubbing from everything so the numbers weren't inflated and I thought that was a good idea...so I did one by one and it just sucks, lots of good, obscure communities. Dumb convos. I really loved the politics megathreads especially, since literally no one else in my life carew like me lol

But I just have no interest in going back. And honestly I wasted too much time on Reddit. And Lemmy is my go to, and soon I'll use it for news/info etc without all the absolute timewasting

[–] Tigerfishy 2 points 2 years ago

I didn't think of that! The inflated subscriber count!

Reddit seems so clunky compared to Lemmy now. I used the official ap anyway so the whole 3rd party thing didn't actually affect my direct experience. But obviously their actions affect us all.

Anyway, I like using lemmy straight on the mobile browser, just looks so much nicer among other things

Nosleep for instance...I can see them being in a tight spot...it's such a niche community and honestly a fairly important one...I at least have 4 physical books I've purchased from authors. It's such a great launch pad. I feel bad that I'll really not be spending hours there at all anymore

I left...reddit honestly seems clunky now...I go back to watch it burn but it's not burning enough :( maybe instead of John Oliver they should be posting dragons or something jeez

It was a test upvote but I might have downvoted :/ live by the shitpost die by the shitvote

I'm already done with reddit...this is just already better between content, atmosphere, I kind of like piecing together the navigation even - with the help of the sidebar lol

[–] Tigerfishy 7 points 2 years ago

Yes I really like this. I've been signing on every night learning how it works. The atmosphere is better, better content, I've been signing on Reddit to watch it burn, I thought I'd miss it and I don't- haven't even gone on today actually

Can't wait to see what /justunsubbed is bitching about lol
