I could totally go for a rail transport system that's actually good. The laws and ordinances are there if they would just enforce them.

At least until we find a way to f* it up--again.
...until you go plowing into that guy who just whipped in front of you and locked 'em up. I bet he braked at well more than .3 g. Additonally, you'll likely get rear ended since your brake lights won't light. (Technology Connections discusses this in better detail.)
Good luck with that, though. If this is America, and I think it is, we find ways of making a good public transit system suck. I also think we need to take a hard look at how our towns and cities are desined as well, and make them to where they're optimized to be able to drive into a central location then bicycle or hoof it to whrever you wanted to go within a couple miles.
I just hope they don't do what YouTube does and interrupt the most important and engaging parts of videos to show ads in the most jarring manner possible. ...though it would help if creators helped design their content for ads to have a place to go like how TV used to do.
Why just stop at your favorite? Go hog wild.
Yeah, but that green tea scent undemonizes your hands, so that obviously won't work.
I would say that all reasonable efforts should be made to rescue or recover anyone and everyone who has gone missing. We can figure out the rest once we exhaust all optons, or have them back on the boat.
I have the same thing happen semi-regularly. My test post to Lemmy.world as myself (essentially trying to make a post to my own profile) results in the spinning wheel button indefintely. Retrying and recreating my post also has the same result. Additionally, trying to comment to some communities such as !nostupidquestions (I'm guessing the r/nostupidquestions community equivalent here) as well as here (!Lemmy.world) also gives me the spinning wheel buton indefintely at times, but works other times. If we're doing something that is restricted, I would appreciate an error message, or somethng else that will let me troubleshoot the issue.
I'm gonna reply anyway, 'cause why not?
My Amazon driver hasn't let on about this. bet he actually doesn't mind so long as I don't order something big on a regular basis (such as an air conditioner.)
I would say the best thing is to find a way to hijack the link to your community to bring people here, and have their accounts there work seamlessly here. I bet that's impossible, so I guess it's time to scale back the ambitions of the community, linking to a "better" version here.
