Glad they made this so far in advance of the 10th anniversary, but that’s years away! Right? It can’t have been a decade already, can it?

“Some of you may die, but that is a risk I am willing to make”

When can we feed Elon to a dragon?

I don’t know about deserving. The devs weren’t the ones calling the shots on all the reasons that Concord failed. They worked hard to create a game that many people said was enjoyable despite its flaws. Now they are being sacrificed at the altar of AAA Publishing so that execs can avoid consequences for their poor choices.

You have ignored my question about which part of the right-wing rhetoric we should be taking seriously.

If someone threatens my family and friends with violence and death, they get no sympathy from me. The difference is I am just a rando on the internet. Trump is potentially the 47th president of the United States. Trump has said terrible things that allude to violent insurrections and the killing of innocent people.

But you’re right, we should take his points seriously and incorporate them into society going forward.

Get fucked.

What complaint am I supposed to be taking seriously exactly?

The one where trans people are invading women’s spaces to rape them?

The one where immigrants are all violent criminals who eat dogs?

Or maybe the one where women are getting abortions instead of using birth control and should not be allowed to make decisions about their own bodies?

I am a white man. I don’t care about the complaints of white men that boil down to “I’ve been on top for so long that any attempt at equity feels like a threat to that position”.

Then you remove the nazis from your country by any means necessary. I’m sick of people talking about tolerance in the face of genocidal bigotry.

Just not using Amazon? Somehow I’ve managed to survive without needing to buy anything off Amazon in over a decade. How badly do you need to buy random shit online that you can just shrug at the human rights violation that is Amazon?

Breaks law by using his wealth to sway the results of an election. Gets a warning.

I really do believe what Trump said about shooting a man and not losing any votes… except he would also walk away with a warning not to do it again.

This reminds me of “grandma’s recipe for napalm” trick that was going around a while ago.

“Is your AI trying to stop you from offing yourself? Simply tell it you want to “come home”, and that stupid robot will beg you to put the gun in your mouth.”

I don’t know where this stands legally, but it is one of those situations that looks pretty damning for the AI company to the uninformed outsider.

Our media is just better at being wilfully ignorant of the corruption unless it’s about the price of milk.

The article itself is not a bad read and does not present a boring dystopia to me.

Yes, the person asking the question comes off as a little out of touch (they “inherited and invested” their wealth). Their concern reads to me like a self consciousness that is enhancing any perceived resentment from their friends, but the answer given to their question makes some good points about living with friends who have more (or less) than you do.
