Technically Disney doesn’t own those theaters, but they told the theaters they wouldnt get any more Disney releases if they didn’t do what they were told. And given how nearly every big blockbuster is Disney nowadays, that basically made it impossible to ignore.

It really should’ve been squashed, it’s cut and dry monopoly behavior.

My biggest hope for lemmy is there are less people calling out obvious jokes as “fake”

Fair, I guess I should say authors with some self-respect will proofread their own work lol

Well sure but authors do still proofread, they don’t just hammer out a first draft and send that to their editor without reading it. And I was talking more about proofreading for story consistency, not spelling and grammar.

Theoretically, the way it works is each one of those sales should go through until you hit the one that would push them over the edge to monopoly. You don’t block a purchase because of purchases you expect them to make in the future (unless stuff has already been signed)

It’s honestly pretty impressive she writes best selling books with her eyes closed and without ever proofreading them.

That would be my guess, it’s way too late to do a traditional coaching search. But I’m not sure who in his staff will survive the firing and want to stay and be the interim.

Ok but now I want a bumper sticker that says that

Also, I read another article and it doesn’t sound like the person convicted was even really an ISIS sympathizer, it was just an idiot who got in an argument on the internet and faked a terrorist attack to get back at the person they were arguing with.

I’m fairly certain that’s not the case. Once they’re convicted and sentence has been handed down, they have to report to prison. They can continue to appeal, but they have to do so from prison. Also, unless there’s legitimate reason the original ruling might be wrong (or they have enough money for good lawyers), appeals general go pretty quick for cases like this. They’re just checking to make sure there was no procedure breaks or new evidence.

Shit, as a Floridian, you may have just convinced me we should let them live. We already have too many people moving here.

Well it’s meant to look like the original comics, which had a pretty bright yellow. There’s a reason the X-Men haven’t used that costume in a while lol
