Requiring a degree should come with a minimum pay. Perhaps $30 per hr for a bachelor and $40 for a masters.

Migrants are just another worker economically. Not much different than someone having a child. They usually help the economy.

But this is not really about economics, it is about people that are different.

Did not leave the house. Did not want to give bosses that forced close to minimum wage employees incentive to continue to do so. I believe minimum wage should at least double on holidays.

Or to sell a new one cheap enough. In China you can buy a decent brand new EV for ~$15k. Just like a base (no carpet, airbags, power windows, or anti-lock brakes) Toyota Helix pickup is sold outside the US for ~$10k.

The downside is complexity. EV’s are simple with a lot less parts. Hybrids have the parts of a gas car plus the parts of an EV.
