Agreed. There's enough factually terrible stuff Mr. Huffman does.

NYT don't do "paid" stories.

However, the journalism is superficial (lazy) and seems to skim across the surface. This was written by someone who doesn't understand the tech -- so they interviewed someone pro (Spez) and someone con (the super mod) -- did some ping pong with quotes and TADA! An article!

And if it got really spammy, we can just block that instance.

I know. Like why can't "we have enough revenue to operate the business" be good enough?

It's either go big and go broke for these clowns.

Late to the party, but lately I've been addicted to microwavable broccoli florets (just the leafy part, not the stalks) covered in sharp cheddar cheese.

My brain has learned to think it's cheese fries. But it's broccoli.

What could it possibly cost? Ten dollars?

Multiple versions of the First Vision

Which I interpret as Joseph, even if he believed he'd seen a vision, hadn't actually seen one and his memory kept drifting. Like a "big fish" story.

They are spinning a positive angle to keep kids from being weirded out by stuff they learn online.

No, but the F-150 is actually possible to build. Elon promised the world with the cybertruck, and it probably will never see the light of day. Certainly not in its prototype form and/or at the $40,000 sticker price.

As a result, people like me who used to love buying subcompact cars can't get them anymore.

I think only Nissan still sells one. And I don't really want a nissan.

It really doesn't matter. It's like saying "this Yahoo email is great" and other people write "this Hotmail mail is great."

In the end, email is still email. And fediverse is still fediverse.

I've been on Lemmy since last Monday (like 10 days). It's meteoric!

Back then, simply posting ANYTHING automatically meant you made the front page.
