Why? Is it the McAlpine? Pretty sure that one of the first kings of Scotland was Cinead (Kenneth) McAlpine.

I'm pretty suspicious about all the AITA posts these days. So many of them just smell like rage bait designed to pit men and women against each other.

Oh man, I feel you're your pain. I saved some money to get some new nice clothes this year, and men's fashion this year was not up my alley. I checked out some places that often have nice shirts and sweaters (like The Gap), but they were all insipid pastel colors. I really resent the prevalent mainstream colour options of dark blue, gray, or black. I'm a man, not in fucking mourning.

Have you tried "National Standards"? I'm not too familiar with them, but I've found some good stuff through them before.

Oh, AI smokes weed and plays video games now? I'm so proud.

My little reader enjoyed "The Wizards of Once" by Cressida Cowell.

They did study the Napoleonic invasion of Russia. They just thought they were better.

"Life's short and hard, like a body building elf ..."

Love the imagery.

Yeah, I see Washington and Montana there. Fuck off with your 54-40 bullshit.

Yeah, in between the gold rush in San Fransisco, and the gold rush in British Columbia.

No smoking gun, but PugJesus gives the time period "medieval" (not a term used academically for time periods), but the roundhouse is a typically pre-Roman Iron Age dwelling in Britain, so there's some inconsistency there. Not sure the clothing is very "medieval" either.

Fossicking and skerrig are related to mining activities, so may be more localized to areas were the gold rush was big. I confirmed they're actual words.
