I think the question comes down to the fact they would have missed a great deal of education, both formal and informal. They would have a child's understanding and the world but have societal expectations of an adult.

I think their outcome would depend entirely on how wealthy the family were. If it were a rich family you would hope they would employ tutors and the like to support building the formal education and have a great deal of empathy and support to help with, for example, the social understanding.

If it were a family without this kind of resource, I could see the person becoming a reality TV 'star' in order to pay for some of this, with an excruciating and crushing public interest.

Yeah, I mean the forced / coerced prison labour is shit enough as it is, but making that labour actively life-threatening is horrific

Oh for sure, at least I feel like this lot are getting to make things better for most people.

My worry is that if they're not good enough ukip will sneak their way in.

I'm disappointed in the lack of 'oven-ready' plans from them. They had a stable shadow cabinet for a good amount of time and I was confident they were going to sweep in and be quite dynamic, and I feel like I've yet to see that.

I'm not involved at all, just saying that suddenly not being able to rebuild your family home could be quite devastating!

Still, though, on an individual basis, I'm not sure how I'd feel if my house had been burnt down and then the government said that I couldn't rebuild it how it was before.
