I don't think they're going for "fun". Lol. Yes, 2 patties is still half a pound (uncooked weight).

The burger patties are 4 ounces. So it's double quarter pounder. Otherwise they'd need two types of patties, this is more efficient and probably cheaper.
I don't frequent Taco John's, but I usually enjoy the food when I do go there.
Yes. I figured this would be easier for Midwesterners since Culvers is mostly (if not exclusively) in the Midwest.
Hardee's. It's pretty good; if you ever get a chance, try it. Hardee's goes by a different name in different parts of the US. I'm not sure but the name Carl's Jr comes to mind.
I'll try to make this a little more fun. Try to guess the restaurant based on the order. Got it? Alright, let's go!
Double quarter pounder with cheese and a large fry. Sometimes I'll get two cheeseburgers instead of the DQP. Usually also get an apple pie or two.
Meat and potato burrito and a large potato ole.
Double butter burger with cheese and the works and a regular fry. Usually get a turtle sundae as well.
Mushroom and swiss burger and a large curly fry.
I figured out how to do spoilers so here are the answers.

I watched a video explaining why the American Healthcare system is the way that it is. Pretty interesting. https://youtu.be/C6Rk9WtO554
Check out Lemmy Plugins & Userscrpits on sh.itjust.works. (I couldn't figure out how to link it on Jerboa.) Here's the user script I use: https://greasyfork.org/en/users/1107499-mershed-perderders. I got that from the above mentioned community.
Yeah, he's great! I've learned so much from watching his videos.
You can use user scripts to make lemmy look like old Reddit.
