I don’t think Spez or Dorsey started out dumb.

Can't speak for Dorsey but Spez started out standard libertarian tech dude dumb vis a vis making reddit "free speech" and enabling the jailbait and racism subs to exist.

The caveat there is that at the time there wasn't a invite system. You'd just add mods. So him getting modded there isn't as big a deal as one would think.

The fact that it wasn't banned until after he was long gone and only then after a CNN piece on it, that should raise an eyebrow.

Anti-clumping agents are generally put in pre-shredded cheeses, but you can get bags of shredded "melting cheeses" that don't have them though. In my experience that's only a supermercado kinda thing. That said your "good" pre-shredded could also be in that category.

The benzo addiction and russian coma were definitely things that happened. The brain damage is inferred with the whole "He had to re-learn how to walk and button his clothes"

Tldr kinda

He got addicted to benzos and had himself put in a coma in russia to cold turkey it (against advice to ween off it from doctors in north america). Shit got fucky and he got brain damage from it.

Couple levels of lols there since he did papers on drug addiction in the past and his schtick is not looking for easy answers... but thats the one he took.

The Rs are all about merit. They believe in pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. Like the old saying goes, "Arbeit macht frei"

As I understand it, it's likely because he didn't pay his server bills to Google. and wasn't able to migrate enough stuff off in time. Maybe he thought that like the dudes he's renting buildings from, he could just not pay and they'd wait. The difference of course being that, Google can repurpose those servers within a few days. Those buildings might remain empty for months.

reddit used to not have comments or even subreddits (Among the first ones were r/programming and r/NSFW, fwiw).

Because that works so well for Pinterest right? I mean, we all have Pinterest accounts so we can access all that content on Pinterest don't we?

Oh... we don't? People add -site:pinterest.com to their google searches to avoid the site entirely? Well then... dang.

I think they want to go mask off.

Much like the gaming subreddit and the games subreddit were seperate beasts with seperate purposes, I think games should be a seperate beast from whatever gaming memes place is created, from the obvious gaming (to keep the reddit paralell) to the less obvious but more true to purpose gamingmemes.
