Mine too! I've read it twice now, and I'm close to reading it for a third, lol.

Sorry to get weirdly serious on a shitpost, but I don't know if a concept does cease to exist just because you're currently not thinking about it.

That's partly the theme of the novel The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which argues--in quite a lovely way--that ideas have a life of their own. No one remembers Addie, and yet she still leaves marks on the world.

Anyway, have an upvote cause Ralph made me laugh, then overthink.

Now that I'm in the last 100 pages, I'm more engaged--even if I'm mostly just rooting for Noemí to burn High Place to the ground. I definitely don't think it's a bad read, but I agree the first half took some determination.

I'm about 70% through Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. It's not bad, but I think I like Noemí more than I like the book itself.

"...nothing can really define what makes a 'good book'. We just know what strikes a chord in ourselves. Right story, right reader, right time."

It took me forever to learn this: the fact that someone dislikes my favorite book (or movie, or game, or album) doesn't mean they dislike me. I'll probably have to learn it again if I ever manage to get my own book published.

Asking price is way too low. Cornobi is worth twice that, smh.

At this point, you're just wielding the Scarab Gun, lol.

I always wonder what a hacker hopes to gain from me. The $4.00 in my bank account?

I really love this theme. Off the top of my head:

"Verdanturf Town" and "Dewford Town" from Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby.

"Fate and Destiny" from Patrick Doyle's score for Brave (or really anything by Patrick Doyle; his soundtrack for Goblet of Fire is lovely).

"Test Drive" and "Romantic Flight" from How to Train your Dragon.

"Thula Baba" from Civilization 6. (This one isn't streaming, so it's a little hard to find, but it's a beautiful rendition of a traditional lullabye: https://youtu.be/25X8JYsPqyg.")

"What are You" from Silvestri's soundtrack for Ready Player One.

Hope that helps! If I think of any more, I'll add them.

I can't speak for all of them, but mine is pretty easy. Their ink cartridges are expensive too, but there's really good third-party options on Amazon

Wouldn't it be constantly fluctuating between speeds one or two numbers apart? Unless your foot is magic or you're in cruise control, lol. I feel like it could be distracting.

(I have a liberal arts degree. Two, in fact. And I had a job before I finished undergrad.)

I realize I'm a bit of an outlier, but don't let people tell you it's not possible.
