When I was in high school, my computer science teacher (who had spent some years working in Cameroon) played music in the background during exams, which included Zangalewa. When our class went out for programming competitions as a team, it became our anthem.
Oh wow is it 2009 already?
Immediately upon the death of 3PA:
- 1% stop browsing
- 1% move to Lemmy
- 98% wonder what all the fuss was about
That said, 6 months down the line:
- 3% move to Lemmy
- 60% have forgotten about it entirely
- 37% have gradually stopped using Reddit as it grew into a bland, boring cesspool of spam and reposts
I like how everyone is answering the literal question asked (is it possible? Yes!) and no one is picking up on the extremely obviously implied question of “how?”

Possibly spam bots
Meesa takin an oath of silence!
I’m not sure how much distributing the load will actually help, since most content has to get mirrored across federated servers.
Some subs (like news related subs) that makes sense. Absolutely not for AITA or anything else that calls for interaction, or for any sub where the content is assumed to be created by the person who posted it.
