The few people that saved their homes after the Hawaii fires or the California fires were proud of themselves for saving their homes. Until they realized they now have a house surrounded by ash in a neighborhood of ash.

Don't build a fireproof home, build a fireproof community.

It's sad yall think laws still matter at this point. The president just pardon cop killers, refused to enforce laws passed by congress and affirmed by the supreme court, and changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico.

Laws don't mean shit any more. Dollars or lead are in charge now.

You mean like the president giving pardons to cop killers?

The people he pardoned are going to either commit violence, or be the victims of it. Either way it creates an excuse to crack down on public discourse, declare martial law, or put down insurrection.

I don't want a single fucking tear when one of them gets gunned down in the street.

It's not that people die commiting acts of violence, it's that people minding their own business or just trying not to be violent, also end up violently dismembered with their families.

Nope, the pardon is a check on persecution. The problem is a lack of a check on the president due to party rule. I'd rather see an amendment that forced majority parties to allow minority subpoenas and investigations. And also to allow the minority party to force a vote on bills.

So bribery is now an alt coin. Got it.

Everyone likes to play up the dancing or the cat videos as not being a threat. Because they're the candy that gets the kids in the van. The real threat is a foreign country doing what western companies are already doing. And since they can't defend what tech companies are already doing, they distract with cat video bullshit. In the hopes the public doesn't get mad enough about being sold as a commodity.

McAfee was a solid product in the beginning, it turned to crap after it's admittedly crazy founder sold it off.

I don't read Aljazeera often, so I didn't realize they printed Russian propaganda. Not that it's very clear they do, I'll be skipping them entirely.

Wow, and here I thought there would be nothing that could make me go to the inauguration. Turns out an infectious case of ebola would do the trick.

Saw a post mentioning an old Scottish gentleman that had saved a bottle of whiskey to drink the day Margaret Thatcher died. And I'm quite sure he enjoyed the drink.

So my question to the community, what's the best drink for the day any major politician finally kicks the bucket? Should it be your own favorite spirit, or something to denote the character, and vitriol, of the deceased? Something sweet to enjoy the day, or harsh to remember the bitterness of their character?

I'm trying to plan a shelf for my dining room. Each bottle labeled for who they're waiting for.
