This really reminds me a lot about what Yanis Varoufakis (former Greek minister of finance) said abouth the EU. It’s been a while, but the gist of it was exactly what you say, that they have depoliticized the political system of the EU. Leaving a technocracy that is completely immune to debate, regardless of who is right or not.

I’ve used Plasma for a week or so before rebasing back to Silverblue last year.

I tried to keep it natural and not force an alien workflow into KDE too much, but I couldn’t really go back to the classic paradigm.

It was nice to give Plasma a look as it’s a great DE. But in the end I figured I prefer the gnome workflow, so it makes little sense to use another DE for me.

Cool, thanks for this. Will give it a look once I’m back at my computer tomorrow!

What about Arch? Which has the added benefit (from a Fedora perspective) that it’s much closer to Fedora in terms of how packages are managed.

Debian is so incredibly different from the other three. I honestly don’t really understand why so many people seem to consider that switch.

I’m currently on Silverblue and I love the image based system they’ve got going. So if I’d switch, OpenSuse MicroOS is high on my list. Otherwise NixOS or Arch would be an option as well. Maybe Arch given the amount of users (which typically means slightly better support with bigger changes of things having been tested against it)

Would that even count as a crime in the first place? Interesting either way, didn’t expect that would trigger a ban on the website.

Again, can totally see that happening on a sub, but giving the amount of vile that has been given a free platform on the site I didn’t think they’d bother.

No offense, but how do you manage to get banned from Reddit? A certain sub, sure, but the entire website?

It doesn’t default to dark mode, it defaults to the system setting. It’s light on my device.

Which any self respecting site should be doing either way, it’s not difficult to implement, at all.

Reddit used to be open source as well
