I agree that there's some "hardcore" DNA present in Battlebit, but IMO tactical reloads, leaning and zeroing are great to have even in an arcade title. Btw, zeroing is bound to scroll wheel-- I stumbled upon the binding when I was seeing if scroll wheel switches weapons.
Class balance definitely needs some work, since medics can just kind of do everything well and heal themselves on top of that. This is an early access title though, so I'm sure we'll see changes.
Also agree that visibility can be difficult sometimes, especially since there are WAY more angles (esp on urban maps) that you have to account for. There's also been times where the friendly blue dots overlapped with an enemy, so I thought the enemy was a friendly. I'd say the game has a steeper learning curve than the BF games-- Battlebit didn't really "click" for me until after the playtests were over. But now that it has clicked, I've been having a blast.
I could see Dice or EA doing this out of spite. "How DARE a couple of nerds make a better game than 2042?? Those players belong to us!"
