As an American, I would be appalled if my data were provided to the Chinese government for anything less than Meta charges to provide that info. It’s just unfair to TikTok and I believe in a free market in commoditizing the lives of human beings.

The reporting I’ve seen was that he had been hanging around the courthouse for a few days and was obviously mentally unwell but he essentially thinks Biden and Trump are working together to establish a fascist state and it all heavily involves Peter Thiel. I didn’t read it but someone made a word cloud of his pamphlet and it was all over the place and even involved conspiracy theories of yore that have been supplanted by QAnon and vaccine stuff.
So, I guess bipartisan?
That headline is misleading. They don’t want to join NATO. They want to be a NATO partner like a few other countries not in North America or Europe. They wouldn’t be part of the mutual defense pact but their military and arms dealers would use NATO “standards.”
It’s probably more about him wanting Argentina to manufacture some NATO-approved weapons — like get a subcontract to make spare parts and ammo for NATO tanks — and also modernize Argentina’s military by training with NATO countries
This guy smells like a grifter in the making. He basically tried to get fired so he could say he was canceled by liberals and when NPR didn’t fire him, he quit and said he was cancelled anyway. It’s the exact same thing that grifter Bari Weiss did when she was at The NY Times.
Also, there seems to be a coordinated smear campaign to besmirch NPR’s CEO. People were taking clips of her out of context and trying to make a scandal where none existed. (She used to be at Wikipedia and she gave some talks where she basically said Wikipedia, specifically, is less about “truth” than “verifiability.” As in, when editing, cite a source rather than assume you are a source of truth. You can see how some selectively edited clips of those speeches can make someone sound like they aren’t worried about facts.)
I really don’t get how Quora gets ranked so highly in search results when it’s one of the worst sites I’ve ever seen. They somehow managed to fuck up the UI on a Q&A forum. And the answers are wrong like 30% of the time.
Well, they apparently just struck Iran (and apparently also Iraq/Syria) so maybe the Rafah invasion is off. Probably not but it’d be nice if this deal is real and they just got what Bibi picked wrong.

Sorry. All the money that could have helped someone buy food or put a down payment on a starter home was donated to the world’s biggest assholes. Mitch McConnell and/or Nancy Pelosi spent it having someone come out and make sure the wrought iron fences in front of their mansions were straight enough.
I might have gone off on a rant but really, don’t “donate” to rich people. The food bank or you can use that $14 way more.
The worst part about the Citizens United decision might be that we got a bunch of party functionaries in Congress. Their job is legislating but their real job is begging for money so they can rise up in the party. The fact that congressmen skip hearings to fundraise should be all the evidence we need that they’re 90% pathetic people.
Do not donate to politicians. They have all the money and there are refugee charities. Donating to politicians just puts you on a list they sell to other people and you get 30 texts a day being like, “This is Kamala Harris. It’s an emergency and we need to raise $200,000 by midnight or Trump and his cronies will retake the White House.”
Do not give them money! They do not need it! I’d rather buy meth for a meth addict.
