Started out pretty meh, but once we got out of the Petra stuff it got real good. I was wondering what would happen if Subaru found one of his books of the dead again and then a few lines later, that happened.
Al calling Beatrice Beako again, wonder what's up with that. And he's trapped in Subaru in an Orb that's capable of trapping witches!? Wonder how he'll end up getting out of that and what happened to Beatrice?
Alcanica: "Could it be you're regretting it?"

Al was around 400 years ago?????

Oh wow. Al getting Volcanica to read his book of the dead so he could hijack his body is crazy! I'm so glad arc 9 is starting so well after arc 7 & 8, really hope it can keep the momentum

I am very surprised to see this, I thought for sure we would just be getting forge additions for the rest of the lifespan of new content.
Though unfortunately I do have to say it, why are we getting a human rifle as the next new weapon. What about that forerunner pistol? The banished shotgun? We've only had 1 (technically 2) weapon added and that was, a human rifle.
Nice to go back to the bar from arc 6 and see the owner a bit more lively now knowing that they made it to the tower before.
But man, why does Petra have to come along she's probably my least favourite character as she's just annoying

He's trapped Subaru, and might be seeking out his book of the dead to "replace" Subaru. Wow, can't wait for the full translation
So Todd lives. Not too surprised, we never saw a body and it was kind of a shit "death". Hope we'll see him again as he was definitely a highlight of arc 7.
And man you gotta feel bad for Katya, hopefully with Todd back she'll be better
Frederica's rare blood would've been a problem? Glad I read Golden Siblings recently as that may have some relevance here since that focused on her rare blood a bit.
I wonder who is being referred to with the 'After all, she's no longer among us" could it be Echidna? Satella? I'm unsure.
Was interesting to see how many attempts it took to deceive each member of the Emilia camp. And oh damn, Al has a suicide pill too. Guess that's how he managed to do all those attempts.
Man, seeing how Al fights, just resetting once one thing goes wrong and countering that for next time. I really hope we see more of this.
And wow that ending. I almost want to read chapter 13 now but it's 3am so it'll have to be done tomorrow. Man this arc is starting out fantastically
