Battery cost pushing up vehicle cost, battery replacement cost, battery weight, low battery energy density, batteries that only last half of a car lifespan of 20 years.

We need much better batteries.

For now, plug in Hybrids are a good way to avoid many of these problems.

Agree. This is why average speed over distance enforcement is so effective.

It gets people to concentrate on their speed and it gets people to drive at very similar speeds.

In movies the resistance is usually of neutral good alignment, fighting against the lawful evil empire.

In real life the resistance is usually neutral evil, or true neutral at best.

I think this strategy makes sense, if you do an overall push to have all software sources verified. Knowing users, a simple warning that an app is unverified rarely affects their behaviour. You need to hide the app, to encourage app developers to get verified for it to work. Users ideally should be able to trust by default, because we can't trust them to know any better.

Exactly. Linux mint is one of the few distros that really follow through that their users may not be proficient.

It's why it's my business distro of choice.
