Yes, it is 6 V and draws about 5-6 A (I've measured 11 A at the battery).

SFT-40 would be a good choice, indeed.

NileRed made a video a while ago about \*what\* is the metallic smell. Like the one of copper flashlights [@flashlight](https://lemmy.world/c/flashlight) in c/flashlight
