I would like to be able to afford my own house. My residence has a hoarder and a messy person, and I am not allowed to clean up. I would like to be able to walk in the laundry room without tripping on clothes, and the front room is filled with trippables. Also, I never went on vacation. The distant shores of Hawaii, Japan, and Egypt will never be known to me. My life has been defined by a lack of fiscal agency.

Here's hoping that the turmoil of today will allow future generations to have enough wealth to live a satisfied life. At this point, that is all that I can hope for.

The French have invented a marvelous tool for that. It leaves the wealthy a bit lightheaded.

I started turning my American Dollars into Euros. Here's hoping that mitigates the economic damage that will come from Elon's stupidity.

Honestly, I don't like messing around with money since I don't really understand it...but if I don't, I fear that I won't be able to get onto a lifeboat. It also makes me feel silly being proactive. Here's hoping my Blue State would either vindicate or placate my fears.

I play all kinds of old games, Japanese games that require patching, and use mods. That technical stuff is why I haven't tried Linux yet, because things are already irksome with a well-known OS. I don't want to imagine what edge cases on Linux could be.

Unfortunately, I might be forced to make the switch if Microsoft decides to ally with the Trump Regime. 😱

I think we now have real-world examples of what being without limits can bring us. For example, a supreme justice holds their role until death or abdication. The vast bulk of the SC court cannot relate to "young" people. This is problematic, seeing how many of them were born before things like DEI, foreign content like anime, or the Internet were common. Plus, the justices tend to be confirmed by old people, which only reinforces the issue.

If there is an overhaul when it comes to SCs in particular, I think the following would be good:

1: Trash the current SC system.

2: Each state can elect a single Supreme Justice to represent them. This Justice is elected through a popular vote. SCs have a term limit of ten years, and an age range of 30-70. They may be impeached by their state through a popular ballot.

3: The justices have to have lived in their state for at least 10 years, and continue living there for the rest of their term.

4: Digital means for justices to meet should be implemented. (For congress as well), and live feeds of their discussion process for all to see. We should be allowed to see and record how the sausage of our laws is made.

5: The assets, wealth, and social media of a Justice should be an open record. We don't want people like Clarance Thomas to be allowed to grift, especially not when the lives of so many people can be impacted.

By having each state having ownership of a single SC, we will have about 50 justices. This is good for having a wide variety of backgrounds and interests to be represented during judicial discussions, along with insulating against any one faction from pushing forward candidates.

Traditionally, we required our justices to be well versed in law and whatnot...but honestly, after the shitshow that is our current Supreme Court, it is clear that motivation trumps law and precedent. That Is why I suggest that justices be determined through a popular vote. If a justice is going to be motivated, it should be driven by the fact that they were chosen by the people of their state, not an political faction or leader.

I hope they pass a bill to set age and term limits, alongside with voting reforms. Our political system was built for a mere 13 colonies that shared a coastline, not a continental civilization without telecommunication.

One big worry I have is about the fate of the Project 2025 authors. Elon Musk and Trump could easily become the fall guys for this whole fiasco, allowing Yarvin's Cabal to escape justice. ALL of the Business v2.0 plotters need to be put on trial and executed.

I am hoping that it would be The Blue States, NATO, and Mexico dog-piling Vichy America. Behind the Bastards theory of "Fuck that guy." at work.

Also one thing Hitler and his Nazi friends have over the Business v2.0 plotters: genuine combat experience. They may be shitty people, but they also got blooded. They were willing to kill and be killed.

A fair chunk of the military minorities that Trump has alienated are veterans, and more importantly, know they will die if he got his way. On the other paw, we got Proud Boys, ICE, and the Xitler Youth. That bunch, as a general rule, are cosplayers. I suspect this what it would look like if they went up against minority soldiers:

I think a fair chunk of the military would ally with the Blue States. After all, Trump disbanded the cultural clubs of minorities, and is likely to steal their benefits or attempt genocide on them. The Blue Coalition would recruit the qualified people that Trump has exiled from Vichy America, and be far stronger for it.

The hatred of the Christofacist is not only bereft of morality, but also blind to the potential all people can have.

I would like it if Blue States mobilized their portion of the national guard to deter ICE and friends. That just seems prudent, especially if the GOP decides to launch a blitzkrieg with the goal of capturing the governors and other officials in Blue States.

I am a free speech absolutist myself: I like my enemies to out themselves as facist, and to be able to tell my like-minded comrades what should be done to those facists.

Elon is using free speech as a sword and shield, while not offering that freedom to others. He is first and foremost a coward, and secondly a hypocrite.
